Description

     Road milling is a controlled process of removing layers of an existing pavement surface using a milling machine, which grinds and collects the old asphalt to a specified depth, creating a smooth, even base for laying new pavement, improving road quality, and allowing for efficient recycling of materials.

Description

     Dirt work is the preparation and shaping of land through excavation, grading, and compaction to create a stable foundation for construction, drainage, and paving projects. We are also able to install culverts. Walsenburg Sand & Gravel's a crew are experienced operators and laborers.

Description

     Milled asphalt paving is the installation of recycled asphalt material that is compacted to create a cost-effective, durable surface commonly used for roads, driveways, and parking areas. We use the same process as paving with hot mix asphalt for this material. Typically, this process is half the cost of new asphalt.

Description

     WS&G produces its own hot mix asphalt with its 85 ton per hour batch plant with 3 CDOT approved mix designs. Larry Martinez, our plant operator, can make various graded mixes for all applications. We also have a crew filled with experienced operators and laborers. Asphalt paving is the process of installing a durable, smooth, and weather-resistant surface made from a mixture of aggregates and asphalt binder, commonly used for roads, driveways, and parking lots to provide long-lasting performance and safe, reliable access. We can also paint stripe roadways and parking lots.

Description
